Executive Chef
We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at a luxury resort in Khasab. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and ensuring the highest quality dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Plan and develop menus that align with our brand image and meet guest preferences
- Oversee food purchasing and inventory management to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with other departments to create special event menus or cater to specific dietary needs or restrictions
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as needed
- Manage food costs by monitoring portion control, waste reduction, and menu engineering
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end resort or restaurant environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train, and develop a team
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, equipment, and menu development
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments and provide guidance to kitchen staff
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts preferred but not required
- 5+ years experience in a similar role
Salary: 1300$
Location: Khasab (for foreigners)
Language: No English language fluency required
