Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry department, including creating new recipes, training and managing the pastry team, and ensuring the quality and presentation of all pastries and desserts. You must have a passion for pastry and a creative flair, along with strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create new recipes for pastries and desserts
- Train and manage pastry team members
- Ensure high quality and consistent presentation of all pastries
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry department
- Collaborate with other chefs to create cohesive menus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or bakery
- Strong knowledge of various types of pastries, desserts, and baking techniques
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while also working independently
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
Salary: $1700 per month
