Indian Restaurant Manager in Bungoma, Kenya



We are seeking an experienced Indian Restaurant Manager to join our team in Bungoma, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Indian restaurant and ensuring that our guests receive the highest quality dining experience. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be expected to lead and motivate a team of staff, manage inventory and finances, and maintain high standards of food safety and customer service. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a similar role within the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of Indian cuisine. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1600 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant's operations including staffing, inventory management, financial reporting, and customer service
- Ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to high-quality standards
- Train and mentor staff to deliver exceptional service to guests
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Develop relationships with local suppliers to source high-quality ingredients for our menu
- Create schedules for staff based on business needs
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and culture
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Swahili is an asset)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Knowledge of inventory management techniques
- Familiarity with financial reporting
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
