Accountant vacancy in Muscat Oman

Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team in Muscat. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of our company. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of accounting principles. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1400$.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements
- Complete monthly and annual financial reports
- Conduct regular audits to ensure financial compliance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Monitor cash flow and reconcile bank statements
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff
- Communicate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks)

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with contract jobs or project-based accounting
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws in Oman
