Typesetter (English-speaking)

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Typesetter to join our publishing team in Sheduva. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text, images, and other visual elements for print or digital publications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Use specialized software to format text, images, and other visual elements according to design specifications
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in the layout and design of publications
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to create visually appealing publications
- Proofread and edit text for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
- Make necessary adjustments to layouts based on feedback from editors or clients

Requirements:
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
- Proficient in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Attention to detail and strong eye for design
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Prior experience in typesetting is preferred but not required

This is an entry-level position that offers on-the-job training for those without prior experience. We welcome applications from Kenyan nationals as well as foreigners with valid biometric passports. Women are encouraged to apply.

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1600 USD per month. Salary will be reviewed based on performance.

Location:
This position is based in Sheduva. Relocation assistance may be provided for international applicants.
