Instrument Technician for Oil and Gas Industry in Mombasa, Kenya

We are hiring an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instruments used in the oil and gas industry. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $1300 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Install and calibrate instruments such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and control valves.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instruments using specialized tools and equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on instruments to ensure proper functioning.
- Keep accurate records of instrument readings, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents or damage to equipment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex instrument issues.
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies in the field of instrumentation.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of instrument installation techniques, troubleshooting methods, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with various types of instruments used in the oil and gas industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency in using specialized tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or nights when needed.
