Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee our construction projects in Bungoma. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with proven experience in managing complex projects from start to finish. They will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of the project, including budgeting, scheduling, and ensuring quality control. This is a contract position, suitable for candidates without prior experience but with a willingness to learn and grow in this field. Accommodation will be provided for the duration of the project.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Monitor progress and ensure adherence to project schedule
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure high standards are met
- Manage project budget and expenses effectively
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is completed according to specifications
- Prepare reports on project progress for management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and equipment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Must be able to work independently and under pressure
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Office

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on construction projects in Bungoma or surrounding areas
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Ability to speak multiple languages including English

Salary: $1800 per month (negotiable depending on experience)
Location: Bungoma, Kenya
Employment Type: Contract (with potential for extension)
