Librarian for English-Speaking Canadian Community in Al Buraymi (Part-Time, Own Visa)
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Librarian to join our English-speaking community in Al Buraymi, catering specifically to Canadians. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, perfect for someone looking for additional income or a retired librarian. As this is a community library, the selected candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to provide exceptional customer service to our members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the library, including organizing and maintaining books and other materials.
- Assist members with finding and checking out books, as well as answering any questions they may have.
- Develop and implement programs and events to promote literacy and engagement within the community.
- Keep track of library inventory and place orders for new materials as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library space.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about Canadian literature, culture, and current events.
- Must hold a valid visa that allows for part-time work.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
