Sous Chef - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
A renowned hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join their dynamic culinary team. As the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to guests. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant. You must also possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and be able to work well under pressure. A competitive salary of $1000 USD per month is offered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in planning menus and creating new dishes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to hotel standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Handle any guest complaints or concerns related to food quality promptly
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Sous Chef in a reputable hotel or restaurant
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and ingredients
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate and train team members
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
