Executive Chef for Seasonal Hotel in Eldoret, Kenya
We are in search of a talented Executive Chef to join our team at our seasonal hotel in Eldoret, Kenya. As an Indian restaurant, we are looking for a chef who specializes in Indian cuisine and has a passion for creating authentic and delicious dishes. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook traditional Indian dishes according to our menu and recipes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, ensuring freshness and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items or specials based on seasonal ingredients
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in an Indian restaurant setting
- Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, and flavors
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent time-management skills to handle fast-paced service during peak seasons
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills, Swahili language skills are a plus
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
