Preservation Architect for Historical Buildings in Sheduva, Kenya



We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Sheduva, Kenya. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings in the city of Sheduva. Your main tasks will include conducting research on the history and architectural significance of buildings, developing preservation plans, coordinating with government agencies and local communities, and overseeing restoration projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in preservation architecture
- Extensive knowledge of historical building materials and construction techniques
- Experience working with government agencies and local communities
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent research and analytical abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to work within strict preservation guidelines
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software

Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on the history of buildings and their architectural significance
- Developing preservation plans that adhere to strict guidelines and regulations
- Collaborating with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for restoration projects
- Overseeing restoration projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with preservation guidelines
- Coordinating with contractors, engineers, and other professionals involved in the restoration process
- Maintaining accurate records of all restoration work performed on historical buildings
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality control
- Providing expertise on historical building materials and construction techniques
- Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month. Accommodation will not be provided.
