We are seeking a skilled and reliable Slinger to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Slinger, you will be responsible for assisting crane operators in the safe lifting and moving of heavy loads on construction sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent coordination, communication, and spatial awareness skills. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Slinger or in a related field and possess a keen attention to detail. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime pay. Salary: $900 per month

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and inspect rigging equipment for lifting operations
- Communicate with crane operator using hand signals or radio communication
- Attach loads to crane hooks using appropriate slinging techniques
- Ensure load is secure and balanced before signaling for lift
- Monitor load during lifting process to detect any issues or hazards
- Direct crane operator to move load safely to desired location
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Slinger or in a related field preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads repeatedly throughout the day
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, communication, and spatial awareness skills
- Knowledge of rigging equipment and techniques for safe lifting operations
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team environment
- Valid safety certifications (e.g. OSHA) is a plus
