Slinger Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Slinger Supervisor to join our team in Mombasa. As a Slinger Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of lifting equipment on construction sites. You will be responsible for supervising a team of slingers and ensuring that all lifts are carried out in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise a team of slingers and ensure they are performing their duties safely and efficiently
- Plan and coordinate lifting operations, including assessing potential risks and developing appropriate methodologies
- Conduct regular safety inspections of lifting equipment to ensure compliance with regulations
- Monitor the performance of cranes and other lifting equipment to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain accurate records of all lifts, including load weights, rigging configurations, and lift plans
- Ensure that all lifts are carried out in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all lift requirements are met
- Train new slingers on safe handling techniques and proper use of equipment
- Address any safety or performance concerns raised by team members or contractors

Requirements:

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Slinger in the construction industry
- Previous experience in a supervisory role is preferred
- Valid Slinger certification is required
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations related to lifting operations
- Ability to read blueprints, lift plans, and rigging diagrams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively lead a team
- Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards during lifting operations

Salary: 1800$

City: Mombasa
