Smelter Operator


We are hiring a skilled Smelter Operator to join our team in Split. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining furnaces and other equipment used in the smelting process. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal or mineral processing, excellent mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor smelting equipment such as furnaces, converters, and pumps
- Control temperature and pressure levels within smelting vessels
- Monitor the quality of molten metal and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Record production data and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with team members to optimize smelting processes

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in metal or mineral processing industry
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to operate and maintain machinery
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this position.

Location:
This position is based in Split, but we welcome candidates from all nationalities who are legally authorized to work in Croatia.

Contract Type:
This is a full-time contract position.
