Land Surveyor
As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for using specialized tools and techniques to measure and map the land's surface. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure that land is accurately measured and marked for development projects. Your duties will include conducting surveys, analyzing data, creating maps and reports, and overseeing construction progress. This position requires strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using specialized tools including total stations, GPS receivers, and aerial photography
- Analyze survey data to create accurate maps and reports
- Mark boundaries, property lines, and other reference points on land
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure accurate measurement for development projects
- Use computer software to process data and create digital maps
- Oversee construction progress to ensure adherence to survey plans
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients about survey results
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Land Surveyor
- Strong mathematical skills including geometry and trigonometry
- Experience using specialized surveying tools such as total stations and GPS receivers
- Proficiency in computer software such as AutoCAD or ArcGIS for data processing
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Bungoma (accommodation provided for foreign employees)
Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week)
