Blast Furnace Operator



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Blast Furnace Operator to join our team in Nakuru. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnace equipment, ensuring the efficient production of iron and steel.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor blast furnace equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain appropriate levels of raw materials in the furnace to maintain production
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates in the furnace
- Perform quality control checks on materials and products
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
- Keep detailed records of production data and report any abnormalities or concerns to management
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in an iron or steel production plant
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial processes
- Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a hot, noisy, and potentially hazardous environment for long periods of time
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package starting at $1800 per month, based on experience.

Location:
This position is located in Nakuru, Kenya.

Preference:
This job is open to candidates from Egypt or Nepal who have a valid work visa for Kenya. English-speaking candidates with no prior experience are also encouraged to apply.
