Excavator Operator

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth or other materials. Your duties may include operating the excavator using hand or foot controls, performing routine maintenance and repairs on the equipment, and following safety procedures at all times.

To excel in this position, you should have prior experience as an Excavator Operator and possess a valid license or certification to operate heavy equipment. You must also have a strong understanding of construction and excavation techniques, as well as the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Physical strength and stamina are important for this role, as you will be required to work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavator using hand or foot controls to excavate, move, and grade earth or other materials
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the equipment as needed
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine excavation requirements
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate excavation tasks
- Adhere to project deadlines and work efficiently to maximize productivity

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid license or certification to operate heavy equipment (e.g. excavator)
- Prior experience as an Excavator Operator preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction and excavation techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Physically fit with good stamina
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
