Pastry Chef
As a Pastry Chef in our busy and renowned bakery in Salalah, you will play a crucial role in creating delicious and visually appealing pastries for our customers. Your exceptional culinary skills and creativity will be put to the test as you develop new recipes, design stunning cakes, and ensure the highest quality of all our baked goods.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute pastry items according to our menu and customer orders
- Develop new recipes and update existing ones to meet changing trends and dietary restrictions
- Ensure the quality, freshness, and presentation of all pastries meet our standards
- Oversee the production schedule to maintain sufficient inventory for daily operations
- Monitor food costs and minimize waste through efficient production techniques
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff members in proper techniques and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume bakery or restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent training from a reputable institution is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Creative mindset with a passion for developing new recipes and designs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other kitchen staff members effectively
Salary: 1200$ per month
