Pastry Chef
A renowned bakery in St. Petersburg is seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and be able to create delicious and visually appealing pastries, cakes, and desserts. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen, ordering supplies, creating new menu items, and ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Create new pastry and dessert menu items
- Manage the kitchen staff and delegate tasks
- Order necessary supplies and ingredients
- Ensure food quality and safety standards are met
- Train new kitchen staff on recipes and techniques
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for cost-saving measures
- Collaborate with other chefs to create special event menus
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
- Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- Must be legally eligible to work in St. Petersburg
