Land Surveyor - Mombasa, Kenya
We are searching for a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Mombasa, Kenya. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and creating maps of land areas to assist in planning and development projects. You will work closely with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate measurements and markings are made.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct surveys using specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners
- Analyze data from surveys to create maps and drawings of land areas
- Identify property boundaries and prepare legal descriptions of land
- Work with engineers and architects to determine appropriate locations for infrastructure and building projects
- Provide accurate measurements for construction teams to follow during project development
- Utilize computer software programs to process data and create visual representations of survey results
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures while conducting surveys
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Land Surveyor
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners
- Knowledge of surveying techniques, principles, and practices
- Ability to read and interpret maps, legal descriptions, and property records
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
We offer a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this position. For foreign candidates, we provide accommodation as well as visa sponsorship. This is a part-time position suitable for freshers looking to gain experience in the field of land surveying.
