Experienced Carpenter in Eldoret, Kenya


We are hiring an experienced carpenter to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden structures and fixtures on our construction sites. Your primary focus will be on building high-quality structures that meet our clients' specifications and standards.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine materials required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be constructed.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, squares or other measuring instruments.
- Cut, shape and join materials using hand or power tools.
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware using carpenter's hand or power tools.
- Inspect work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Finish surfaces of woodwork by sanding and sealing with varnish or paint.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in good working condition.

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a carpenter in the construction industry.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools such as saws, drills, chisels etc.
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Physically fit to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects.
- Good communication skills in English.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1100$ per month.

Location:
This job is located in Eldoret, Kenya. We are open to candidates of any nationality who have a valid work permit for Kenya.
