Smelter Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Smelter Operator to join our team in Malindi. As a Smelter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used to melt and refine various metals. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge and experience in the smelting process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate smelting machinery, including furnaces, molds, and casting equipment
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and other indicators to ensure proper operation of equipment
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain optimal conditions for melting and refining metals
- Inspect equipment for defects or malfunctions and perform routine maintenance as needed
- Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear at all times while operating machinery
- Record production data, including quantities of metal melted, refined, and casted
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the smelting process

Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Smelter Operator or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is preferred

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1100 per month.

This position is located in Malindi.
