Blast Furnace Operator



As a Blast Furnace Operator in our steel manufacturing facility located in Bungoma, you will play a crucial role in the production process. Your main responsibility will be to operate and monitor the blast furnace to ensure efficient and safe production of molten metal.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and control the blast furnace according to production schedules and quality standards.
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of gases, liquids, and materials within the furnace.
- Adjust controls as needed to maintain optimal conditions for melting and refining iron ore.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential issues or malfunctions, reporting them to maintenance team.
- Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of furnace components to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot any problems that may arise during operation.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure efficient production flow.
- Follow all safety regulations and protocols at all times.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a blast furnace operator in a steel manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge of blast furnace operation principles, procedures, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals related to the blast furnace operation.
- Physically fit with the ability to work in a hot environment for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1600 per month for this position.
