Housekeeping Assistant
We are a reputable hotel in Nakuru, Kenya looking for a diligent and experienced Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. You will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to hotel standards
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and linens
- Vacuum carpets and clean floors
- Dust and polish furniture
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to the Housekeeping Manager
- Assist with laundry services as needed
- Follow all safety procedures while handling cleaning chemicals
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Housekeeper or similar role in a hotel setting
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods of time, etc.
-Sound knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment
