Interpreter (English-Swahili)

We are seeking a bilingual English-Swahili Interpreter to join our team in Atlanta, USA. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally appropriate interpretation services for clients in various settings such as medical appointments, legal proceedings, and business meetings. This is a freelance position with a flexible schedule and competitive salary of $1100 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services between English-Swahili languages for clients in person or via telephone or video conferencing
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all interpretations
- Familiarize yourself with terminology and industry-specific vocabulary to provide accurate interpretations
- Maintain professionalism and cultural sensitivity at all times
- Manage time effectively to meet the needs of multiple clients and appointments
- Communicate with clients to clarify any ambiguous language or cultural differences

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Swahili languages
- Proven experience as an interpreter in medical, legal, or business settings preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain neutrality and composure during emotionally charged situations
- Knowledge of cultural traditions and customs of both English-speaking countries and Swahili-speaking countries
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively
