Job Title: Librarian - Gujrat, India



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Gujrat, India. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials. You will also play a key role in providing research assistance to patrons and promoting library programs and services.

To excel in this role, you must have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong knowledge of library systems and procedures. Additionally, you should have a passion for literature and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, cataloging, organization, and maintenance of the library's collection
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance in using library resources
- Develop and implement programs to promote the use of the library's resources and services
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions including check-outs, returns, fines, etc.
- Ensure that all materials are properly labeled, shelved, and easily accessible for patrons
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend purchases or removal of materials as needed
- Collaborate with other librarians to coordinate events such as book clubs or workshops
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to enhance the library's services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification
- Proficiency in using computer software for cataloging materials
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Passion for literature and promoting reading culture
