Junior Accountant


We are a dynamic and growing financial services company in Sofia, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts
- Reconciling bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Analyzing financial data and preparing reports on variances
- Assisting with tax filings and audits
- Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Proven experience in an accounting role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English

Salary: $1100 per month

Contract Type: Full-time (40 hours per week), 6-month contract with possibility of extension.

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria (Candidates from India are also welcome to apply)

Accommodation: This is a non-live-in position. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own accommodation.
