Database Administrator

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Vilnius. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's database systems. This is a contract position with a salary of 1200$ per month, suitable for English-speaking men.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure data integrity, security, and availability
- Create and update database documentation
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure efficient use of databases
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, and security techniques
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English

Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
