Information Security Analyst



Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Information Security Analyst to join our team in Akron. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's information and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to protect sensitive data
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and respond to security incidents
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper implementation of security controls
- Conduct training sessions for employees on information security best practices
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends to proactively prevent potential attacks
- Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or related field
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and tools
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA
- Experience with cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of web application security testing

Salary:
Pay will be commensurate with experience. The starting salary for this position is 1500$ per month.

This position is located in Akron. Remote work options may be considered for exceptional candidates.
