Junior Restaurant Manager
As a Junior Restaurant Manager, you will assist the senior management team in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant in Lisbon. You will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. No prior experience is required for this entry-level position.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the restaurant's budget, inventory, and staffing levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Train and supervise staff, including servers, cooks, and dishwashers
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and kitchen
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote specials and events
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Oversee cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales reports
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Strong leadership abilities with a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation and service
- Must be willing to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a food service setting
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends
