Mason - Construction Worker


We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our construction team in Shan, Africa. As a Mason, you will be responsible for laying and repairing bricks, concrete blocks and other materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches and other structures. You will also be involved in the preparation of building surfaces prior to laying materials and ensuring that the construction site is clean and safe.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience in masonry work
- Ability to interpret blueprints and follow construction plans
- Proficient in using various hand and power tools
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:
- Prepare building surfaces by chipping, scraping, or cleaning off old mortar or other debris.
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks or other materials according to construction plans.
- Cut or break bricks and concrete blocks using hammers or power saws.
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels.
- Check vertical and horizontal alignment of structures using levels and plumb bobs.
- Clean excess mortar from finished work and clean tools used on the job.
- Repair cracks in brickwork or fill gaps between bricks with mortar.
- Follow safety procedures at all times while working on the construction site.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month for this position.

Location:
This job is located in Shan, Africa. We welcome both local candidates as well as foreigners who meet the requirements to apply for this position.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with an average of 40 hours per week. Part-time options may be available depending on project needs.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will not be provided for this position. Candidates are expected to arrange their own accommodation in Shan.

Experience:
We welcome candidates with a minimum of 2 years experience in masonry work. Freshers with relevant education and training will also be considered.

Language:
Proficiency in English is required for this position as it involves working with a diverse team.
