A local woodworking company in Bungoma, Kenya is seeking a skilled and experienced Shaper to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and forming wood into various designs and sizes using specialized tools and equipment. Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Shaper or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their properties
- Proficient in operating shaping tools such as saws, routers, planers, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy materials
- Eye for detail and precision to create high-quality finished products
- Must be an Indian national residing in Bungoma, Kenya with own valid visa

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to determine design specifications
- Operate shaping tools such as saws, routers, planers to shape wood according to design requirements
- Smooth rough surfaces using sandpaper or other tools
- Measure and mark dimensions on wood pieces accurately
- Make adjustments as needed to achieve desired shape and size
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed when handling tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
