Database Administrator



As a Database Administrator, your primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain the organization's database systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and integrity of the data, as well as optimizing database performance. This position is based in Akron and is suitable for both Indian and Filipino candidates with excellent English language skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related products
- Monitor database performance and tune system parameters for optimal performance
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery protocols
- Troubleshoot database errors and perform data recovery when necessary
- Develop and implement data access controls to ensure data security
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Create documentation and provide training on database procedures for other team members

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong understanding of database management systems (DBMS)
- Proficient in SQL coding and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1700 per month for this position.
