We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a librarian, preferably in a similar setting. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's resources and services, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and organizing events and programs to promote literacy and learning. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues to provide the best possible library experience for our community. Accommodation is provided for international candidates.

Salary: $1000/month

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working as a librarian preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficient in research methods and reference resources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of current library technologies and systems

Responsibilities:
- Manage library resources, including books, media, and electronic databases
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Plan and organize events promoting literacy and learning for all ages
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, loans, and returns
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new programs and services for the community
- Stay updated on new library technologies, trends, and best practices
- Maintain a welcoming environment for patrons by ensuring cleanliness and organization of the library space
- Train volunteers or assistants on library procedures
