Merchandiser for Fashion Retailer in Los Angeles, USA


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Merchandiser to join our team at a fast-paced fashion retailer in Los Angeles. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing products to be sold in our stores, as well as planning and coordinating product displays and promotions. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail buying and visual merchandising, as well as strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Select and purchase products for our retail stores based on market trends, customer demand, and budget
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new product opportunities
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and maintain relationships
- Plan product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns
- Coordinate product deliveries and manage inventory levels
- Work closely with the visual merchandising team to create appealing store displays that drive sales
- Analyze sales data to determine product performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Monitor industry trends and provide insights to inform buying decisions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in retail buying or visual merchandising
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
