Milling Machine Operator

We are currently seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Malindi. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and maintaining milling machines, as well as knowledge of various materials and cutting techniques. The main responsibility of this role is to set up and operate the milling machine to produce high-quality parts according to specific blueprints and instructions. The operator will also be responsible for monitoring the machine's performance, making adjustments as needed, and performing regular maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and instructions
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform routine maintenance on the milling machine, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments
- Keep track of materials used and report any shortages or issues to the supervisor
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues with the machine or production process
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow and timely completion of projects

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- At least 2 years of experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of different materials (metal, plastic, wood) and their properties
- Ability to read technical drawings/blueprints and understand machining specifications
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality products
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Malindi. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Kenya.
