Librarian - Medina, Egypt


A reputable library in Medina, Egypt is seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1000 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize library materials including books, magazines, newspapers, and digital resources
- Develop and maintain an efficient system for cataloging and shelving materials
- Assist patrons with finding and accessing materials for research or leisure purposes
- Provide reference services to patrons by answering questions and providing information
- Plan and execute library programs such as book clubs, story time sessions, and workshops
- Maintain the library's budget by tracking expenses and ordering necessary supplies
- Collaborate with other librarians to acquire new materials for the collection
- Train and supervise library assistants or interns

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Proficiency in Arabic is required; knowledge of English is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
