Database Administrator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Almada. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing our company's databases. This is a full-time position that requires prior experience in database administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Create and manage database users and permissions
- Develop backup and recovery strategies
- Plan and implement security measures to safeguard data
- Identify and resolve database-related problems
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure smooth operation of databases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Proficient in SQL language and database management tools such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security procedures
- Experience with database optimization techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based databases
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Python
- Certification in Database Administration
Salary: $900 per month
