Database Administrator (Wiltz, Luxembourg)


We are hiring a Database Administrator to join our team in Wiltz, Luxembourg. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases to ensure they are secure, efficient and reliable. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience with database management systems. You must also have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month, and accommodation, free visa and ticket will be provided for non-EU applicants. Women are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing backup and recovery plans
- Collaborate with team members to identify database needs and provide solutions
- Optimize SQL queries for efficiency
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data backups, software updates, etc.
- Create user accounts and assign permissions according to company policies
- Generate reports on database usage and performance for management review
- Train users on how to use the database system effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of SQL databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery and security procedures
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with team members
- Experience with data analytics tools is a plus
