Librarian


A reputable library in Faisalabad is seeking a diligent and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our collection of books, journals, and other materials, as well as assisting patrons in locating and accessing information. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, a passion for literature and research, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
- Manage library collections by categorizing, cataloging, and shelving books and other materials
- Assist patrons in locating resources and providing reference services
- Monitor library inventory and order new materials as needed
- Keep track of library loans, returns, and overdue items
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions using computer systems
- Plan and organize library events such as book clubs or author talks
- Train new staff or volunteers on library procedures and systems
- Stay updated with new releases, bestsellers, and relevant resources in the field of literature or research

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience working in a library setting (experience with electronic resources is a plus)
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset)
- Proficiency in using library management systems and computer applications
- Ability to assist patrons of all ages with their information needs
- Knowledge of reference sources such as databases, encyclopedias, or online resources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: 1000$ per month (negotiable based on qualifications)
