We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Lisbon. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning algorithms and systems to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and develop machine learning models, algorithms, and systems
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop solutions
- Implement machine learning models into production systems
- Monitor and improve the performance of existing machine learning models
- Stay current with industry developments in machine learning techniques and tools

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
- Knowledge of data mining techniques and databases (SQL, MongoDB)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience working with deep learning techniques such as CNNs, RNNs or GANs
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
