As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases in Funchal, ensuring the security, performance, and integrity of the data. You will also play a crucial role in the development and implementation of database systems and processes to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain company databases
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data security and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with IT team to integrate new systems and technologies into existing databases
- Create user accounts and permissions for database access
- Develop data entry protocols to maintain data accuracy and consistency
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential areas for improvement
- Train employees on database usage and best practices
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL language, database management systems (MySQL, Oracle), and data warehousing principles
- Familiarity with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure) is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Salary: $1400 per month without accommodation.
