Gardener - Contract Position in Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team in Funchal, Portugal on a contract basis. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for our outdoor spaces, including gardens, lawns, and other landscapes.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute gardening tasks such as planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding
- Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, and applying pesticides as needed
- Ensure all plants and flowers are healthy and well-maintained
- Install new plants and create new landscape designs as per client requests
- Follow safe gardening practices to prevent accidents or damage to property
- Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies when needed
- Communicate with clients to understand their preferences and provide excellent customer service
- Work with a team or independently depending on the project

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Gardener or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, and their care requirements
- Ability to operate gardening equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, etc.
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure all outdoor spaces are well-maintained at all times

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this contract position.

Location:
This position is based in Funchal, Portugal. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Contract Job:
This is a contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Gardener is required for this role. We are looking for candidates who have at least 2 years of experience in gardening or landscaping.

Freshers:
This position is not suitable for freshers. We are looking for candidates with prior experience in gardening or landscaping.
