Head Baker
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, including production, quality control, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of bakers and other kitchen staff
- Create and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh baked goods
- Ensure all products meet high quality standards and adhere to food safety regulations
- Develop new recipes and improve existing ones based on customer feedback and market trends
- Order and maintain inventory of baking supplies
- Train new employees on baking techniques and equipment operation
- Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a bakery or similar setting
- Knowledge of various baking techniques, including breads, pastries, cakes, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this full-time position.

This position is located in Funchal, the charming capital city of Madeira island known for its beautiful landscapes, rich history, and delicious cuisine.
