Network and Systems Administrator

As a Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and functionality of our company's network and systems in Faro, Portugal. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure that all servers, systems, and applications are running smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network performance, troubleshooting any issues that arise, installing new hardware and software, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs. You should also have experience with Windows and Linux operating systems as well as virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of database management systems such as SQL Server or Oracle is also preferred.

In addition to technical skills, we are looking for someone who can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical staff. You must be able to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms and provide clear instructions to users when needed. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential in order to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
