Instrument Technician
The Instrument Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and control systems used in industrial settings. This role requires a skilled individual with experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of instrumentation principles, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair a variety of instruments and control systems such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and level indicators
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform necessary repairs
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of instruments
- Diagnose complex electrical and electronic issues using appropriate tools
- Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to identify problems
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects or resolve issues
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any abnormalities or malfunctions
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Train new technicians on instrument installation and maintenance procedures
Requirements:
- Prior experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role in an industrial setting is preferred
- Strong understanding of instrumentation principles, equipment operation, maintenance techniques, and troubleshooting methods
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, calibrators, etc.
- Excellent technical skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues accurately
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A vocational degree or certification in Instrumentation Technology is preferred.
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1200$ per month.
