Senior Architectural Technologist in Akron, OH, USA



As a Senior Architectural Technologist in our Akron location, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of our architectural projects. You will work closely with our design team to ensure that all plans and drawings meet industry standards and client expectations. This is a contract position with the opportunity for growth within our company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop detailed construction drawings and specifications
- Review and approve technical drawings created by junior staff members
- Conduct site visits to ensure that construction is following design plans
- Stay up-to-date on building codes, regulations, and industry trends
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions
- Oversee the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating architectural plans

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant technical programs
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Experience working on commercial or institutional projects
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles
- Experience managing junior staff members

Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
