Senior Accountant - Mauren, Africa

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Mauren, Africa. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular audits to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Provide guidance to junior accountants and assist with training as needed
- Communicate with external auditors and tax authorities as necessary
- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within Africa or other developing countries
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferences:
- CPA/CMA certification is a plus
- Experience working with multicultural teams
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or other local languages is a plus
