Typesetter

We are hiring a Typesetter to join our publishing team in Washington. As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for formatting and typesetting text, images, and graphics for print and digital publications. Your attention to detail and excellent knowledge of typography and layout will ensure that our publications are visually appealing and error-free.

Responsibilities:
- Format and typeset text, images, and graphics for print and digital publications
- Ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting
- Collaborate with designers, editors, and other team members to create visually appealing layouts
- Use industry-standard software such as Adobe InDesign to create layouts
- Review proofs for errors before final publication
- Keep up-to-date with new typesetting techniques and software updates

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of typography principles and layout design
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and other design software
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Understanding of printing processes and file preparation for print production

Salary: $1800 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Washington (open to all nationalities)
