Crane Operator
Location: Eldoret, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cranes used for lifting heavy materials on construction sites, shipping yards, and other industrial settings. Your duties will include inspecting and maintaining the crane, rigging loads, and operating the crane according to safety standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Crane Operator and possess a strong understanding of crane mechanics and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of cranes to lift and move materials on construction sites, shipping yards, or other industrial settings
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the crane to ensure safe operation
- Rig loads correctly using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment
- Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or radios to ensure safe movement of materials
- Follow project plans and safety protocols while operating the crane
- Monitor weather conditions that may affect crane operation
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
- Keep detailed records of daily activities and maintenance performed on the crane

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in crane operation preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Crane Operator in a construction or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of crane mechanics and ability to troubleshoot issues as needed
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to crane operation
- Ability to interpret project plans and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1400 per month.
